Context
MGEN, an organization specializing in social protection, faces increasing challenges related to data management and governance in a rapidly changing environment. As part of its modernization strategy, MGEN has decided to adopt solutions based on Informatica platforms. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address the emerging needs of its various departments, and TRIMANE was selected to support the organization in this project.
Challenges
To fully leverage its data, MGEN must overcome several key challenges. This includes modernizing its information systems with advanced digital services, digitizing business processes, and seamlessly integrating new data sources into its decision-making framework. Additionally, it is crucial to align the data governance strategy with the organization’s objectives while improving service levels through innovative solutions and a committed Cloud approach.
Solutions & methodologies
TRIMANE developed a systematic five-phase approach to address these challenges. The first phase involved meetings with business units to understand the specific needs of each department during the scoping process. The subsequent phase focused on migrating legacy reports to IBM Analytics Cognos 11 and developing new reports on this platform for weekly monitoring of digital data integration.
The next phase was dedicated to validating data recipes, ensuring conformity with business procedures, followed by change management activities that included user training and the preparation of technical documentation. Finally, a project management assistance phase was implemented, encompassing schedule monitoring, team coordination, and regular reporting.
