Context
Franfinance, a major player in the consumer credit sector, faces an ever-changing competitive landscape. As part of its commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation, the company identified the crucial need for a robust data infrastructure to support its operations. Franfinance has therefore embarked on a strategic project to implement a Datalake on an AWS Big Data Cloud architecture. The aim is to create a flexible, scalable environment that will enable the company to effectively manage its data and derive valuable insights to drive growth.
Challenges
One of the key challenges facing Franfinance is to ensure the interoperability, maintainability and scalability of its data infrastructure. The seamless integration of data from a variety of sources is essential for effective strategic decision-making. What’s more, in an industry as dynamic as consumer credit, it’s imperative that the data infrastructure can rapidly adapt to market changes and emerging business needs. In addition, effective marketing data management is crucial for Franfinance to optimize its campaigns and better understand its customers’ behaviors and needs.
Solutions & methodologies
To meet these challenges, Franfinance called on a team of Big Data experts to assist at every stage of the process. This mission is based on three main components :
- Assistance to project management
- Technical expertise
- Assistance with solution installation and configuration
TRIMANE’s in-depth technical expertise enabled us to select the most appropriate technologies for the AWS Big Data Cloud architecture. The technologies used cover a wide spectrum, such as storage with Oracle, ETL/Data Prep with PL/SQL, and data visualization with Microstrategy, using languages such as SQL, Python and R. Finally, full installation and parameterization assistance was provided, with particular attention paid to defining an implementation and industrialization strategy to guarantee successful deployment.
Benefits
By implementing the Datalake on an AWS Big Data Cloud architecture, Franfinance has achieved several significant benefits. Firstly, the company now has a single source for its data, enabling it to make informed strategic decisions based on accurate, up-to-date information. In addition, the ability to rapidly process and analyze large volumes of data has improved Franfinance’s operational efficiency, reducing processing times and strengthening its competitiveness in the marketplace. By effectively consolidating and analyzing marketing data, Franfinance can better target its campaigns, improve customer engagement and optimize return on marketing investment. Finally, the coaching and training provided to Franfinance’s internal teams on the new data architectures strengthens the company’s internal skills and promotes the adoption of best practices in data management.
